Day 4 - Back to Bangkok

Another successful train trip back to Bangkok, where we checked into the closest possible hostel - The Train Inn! We spent the afternoon literally walking the back-alleys of Bangkok, not seeing anything inparticular, but enjoying the real Thailand.

Starting at Bo Bae Pier we used the river canal as our guide, and followed it around the city, wandering through peoples' houses and markets and watching the speedboats and fishermen on the water.
We stopped at a Thai games field in the middle of a huge roundabout (Wong Wain), where men played soccer and feet-volleyball - Adam was itching to join in, but decided to do so another time!

After finding our way home (all by ourselves) we updated the blog (following the Thai instructions the best we could) and are now off to find a feed - we saw a vegetarian restaurant - so if we find it again, we'll be eating there - yum! Adam will get his daily dose of Thai beer ...

Hey liv, you've arrived safely, hooray! Great photos. Hope you guys are getting used to the weather:) If you have a few more days in Bangkok, check out our 2 favourites: (1) Siam Niramet theatrical show (close to the Thailand Cultural Centre) - Note, give them a call for more info as I'm pretty sure that they do a free pick-up from one of the stations to take you to the show. Get there early, they have fab pre-show entertainment. My rating:9/10
Also check out (2) 'Joe Louis puppet theatre' in Suan Lum. My rating: 8/10
