Not much happened today. We spent the afternoon on the train back to Bangkok, where we found a vegetarian restaurant, providing Liv with far too many choices! We spent the evening attempting to plan for China, however the recent flooding in South C้hina, where we're heading, has thrown our plans into the air - we may head North instead...
Even though we have only been in Thailand for a week, we have learnt a lot!
1. Dining with rats the size of cats, is normal.
2. Cars are very new and flash here - not what we had expected. We think only the rich have cars, and only the best kind! The rest of the population is stuck with scooters.
3. Mosquito bites are much more scary here than in NZ, but just as annoying.
4. Find out hostel check out time, and leave by then! Simple, we know!
5. Adam reacts to malaria pills by getting very sun-sensitive, and is now sporting a lovely shade of red!
6. Water really is the greatest resource to mankind.
7. When Liv's hungry, she needs food 10 minutes ago, and it really is in Adam's best interest to let her eat.
8. When it comes to clothing, how clean they are doesn't really matter.
9. Locals are mostly helpful, use their knowledge to your advantage.
10. We love Asia, but we truly have left paradise at home in NZ.
Off to C้hina tomorrow, Liv's petrified, and Adam's pretending not to be.Will let you know our plans, as soon as we have them.
